The Wonder Years Gatherings are designed to address the needs of this underserved majority, to lift and encourage women discouraged and fearful of the aging process; to provide a means of equipping, empowering and restoring women over 40 to their true place in the kingdom: as joyful women rich in experience and wisdom called to unleash their resources of life skills, finances, time and spiritual gifts to impact the world with the wondrous love of Jesus Christ.
Leslie Leyland Fields and Michelle Van Loon are speakers and authors who care deeply about discipleship at every life stage. As a result, they long recognized that because of our culture's value on youth, Wonder Women in the second act of life often feel a loss of value, joy, direction, and purpose. They also noticed that some women seemed to "retire" from Christian service when the Church and world need their skills, gifts, resources, and experience the most.
